Arrivals to Programs

Teachers will receive an electronic and paper copy list of their students participating in Enrichment programs. They are asked but NOT required to remind students attend their programs. Students should arrive to the GYM after school to meet their instructor and our On-Site Coordinator. We also ask parents to remind their children each morning.

Please also feel free to remind teachers and/or Campagna staff that your child will be attending class.

Dismissal from Programs

It is imperative that you indicate the dismissal arrangements for your child on the registration form.  Please note that it is not permissible to be late for pick-up. If you are late more than two times, your child will no longer be able to participate in the program. Please be aware that school personnel will not be available at this time to supervise your child.

  • Parent Pick-Up: Parents/caregivers must pick up children promptly.  All After-School Enrichment Programs participants will be dismissed in the front lobby. Parents/caregivers must sign their child out
  • Campagna Center:  Students attending the Campagna Center after school will be escorted to the cafeteria following the class.
  • Activity Bus: Tucker’s activity bus will be available to those students who usually take the bus home after school.  School bus rules apply. The drop off points for the late buses may not be the same as the regular bus routes. Students going home on the activity bus will be escorted to the lobby following class. The activity bus is expected to leave at approx. 4:00pm. NOTE: Kindergarteners do not have the option of the activity/late bus.

Changes to dismissal:  The On-Site Programs Coordinator will provide each Tucker teacher and each after-school programs Instructor with a list of children participating in the various after-school programs along with their dismissal instructions.  You are responsible for notifying the Baroody Camps of any changes to your child’s regular dismissal process from his/her after-school program.

Snacks & Allergies

Detailed allergy lists will be given to each instructor during the first week of the program and should be kept with the instructor for the duration of the session. Students with allergies will also be indicated on sign-in/sign-out sheets each week. Baroody issued snacks are given to any student who wants a snack unless otherwise noted. Students are not permitted to bring their snacks unless noted on the roster. Snacks will be allowed as students arrive and for the first 5-10 minutes in the gym.

If a student receives permission by Baroody Camps to bring an outside snack, students in the class MUST wash hands after finishing their snack. Please take special consideration for students with allergies in your class (we understand this might cut into class time).

Standards of Behavior

  • We want to ensure that all students participating in the before and after-school enrichment programs enjoy the experience. In order for this to happen, it is expected that all students will conform to regular Samuel Tucker ES classroom and school rules and regulations while attending a program. The providers are all experienced Instructors and will use accepted classroom management techniques to allow misbehaving children to adjust. If a child continues to have difficulties, he or she will be removed from the class and be placed with the On-Site Programs Coordinator who will decide if and when to return the child to class that day. The On-Site Programs Coordinator will also inform the parents about the situation.
  • If a child is removed from a class a second time, that child will be withdrawn from that class for the remainder of the session. The School will be informed of this decision. No partial refunds will be given in these situations. We look to all parents to support our class providers so that all children can enjoy the after-school classes.

  • Certain behaviors will not be tolerated.  These behaviors may include, but are not limited to: consistent disruption in class; any inappropriate physical contact (i.e. hitting, kicking); blatant disrespect toward the Instructor or other students; a refusal to listen to Instructions; the use of inappropriate language; and/or destruction of property.
  • Here at Baroody Camps, we want to foster a learning environment where all students feel safe and secure. With this being said, any incidents of bullying including, but not limited to: name calling, assault of any kind, verbal and nonverbal threats, throwing objects, cornering other students and/or intimidating behaviors, taunting, discriminatory statements or behavior, or exclusion from activities will result in the first and only warning. After the first warning, any future behavioral issues will result in immediate removal from the class for the remainder of the session. Baroody Camps will not offer any partial refunds in these situations. Enforcement of this policy is at the discretion of Baroody Camps and their partners.
